What services does a Notary Public offer?
A Notary Public generally certifies and attests documents for use abroad. Some documents may also need to be apostilled or legalised.
Some examples of when a Notary Public might be needed:-
For Individuals:
- Certification of academic documents
- Administration of oaths and declarations
- Documents for working abroad
- Authenticating the execution of documents
- Authenticating the signing of an Acknowledgment for use in the United States of America
- Swearing in to international Court hearings
- Notarised copies of identification and other documents
- Powers of attorney (preparation and execution)
- Visa applications
- Authenticating the contents of documents
- Getting married abroad
- Travel Consents (often required by Airlines, especially South Africa travel)
- Change of name documents (Deed Polls)
- Witnessing documents dealing with documents for the purchase or sale of land and property overseas
- Notarising Foreign Adoption application requirements
- International Affidavits
For Companies:
- Notarising commercial Powers of Attorney
- Property Purchases
- Authenticating commercial documents for UK or foreign companies
- Certifying company documents such as Resolutions, Minutes, Certificates of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association
- Authenticating documents to assist in the opening of corporate branch offices and bank accounts (within the UK or overseas), Certificates of Good Standing, Certificates of Law, Application Forms
- Notarised copies of identification and other documents
- Attesting and authenticating the signature and execution of documents
- Authenticating the signing of an Acknowledgment for use in the United States of America
- Dealing with shipping documentation including the registration of vessels and ship protests
- Statutory declaration verifying the Directors identity
